Travel Vaccinations

We are a fully accredited yellow fever vaccination clinic.

To assist with the clinical team to administer these vaccines., please be sure to book with one of our TGA approved clinicians.

Consultations are available online for travel advice. Private vaccinations are now stocked at the practice for your convenience. Private health rebates may apply for travel vaccines so please ask our reception team for a receipt.

Please ensure you allow at least 3 weeks prior to international departure to maximise the effects of the vaccines.

Flu and other vaccinations

Newport Doctor encourage all patients over 6 months of age to have the flu vaccination to minimise the effects of this contagious virus.

Flu clinics run by the clinicians are conducted between late March to August. Please book online.

Shingles vaccines are now available to over 65’s providing more than five years since last Zostavax.  These are highly recommended by the clinicians as they offer 98% effectiveness against shingles. Please call reception to book your appointment.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

We no longer offer the COVID vaccination at the clinic and encourage all patients to visit their local pharmacy to receive the booster shot.

If you wish to discuss any other vaccinations with your GP please book a telehealth or a face-to-face appointment.
